Exit planning

Plan the exit before you enter.

An investment horizon is not a promise of liquidity.

Exit planning property investment guide

Property-linked investments may rely on an asset sale, an agreed transfer process or another route defined in the documents. A proposed resale facility does not itself create a buyer. Transfer approvals, lock-ins and transaction costs can affect when and how you exit.

Consider how you would respond if distributions stopped, the asset sale was delayed or the market price fell. Avoid committing money that you may need quickly.

Your checklist: read the transfer terms; understand the valuation approach and costs; test a delayed-exit scenario. Seek advice about whether the investment fits your circumstances.
